Last July we were beyond chuffed to play to another sold out show at the HAC in Irvine. It was a great night on a home stage and we were delighted that fellow Ayrshire boys the Seaside Sons were there to support.
Having our July show sell out was a great endorsement. Before we had even taken to the stage we were invited back for another show this March. However, this time, at the Magnum Theatre, a venue three times the size of the HAC.
As the week of the show now approaches, we’re fine-tuning our set for not only our first hometown show of the year, but also our biggest headline show to date. Tickets for the Magnum went on sale just days after the HAC gig and the venue is going to be packed out. We’re excited and keen for our show to be bigger and better. This is our chance to play our part in celebrating the musical talent and love of music that’s very much alive in the west.
Taking the stage in front of a home crowd always gives us a huge buzz so we’re keen for what we’re sure will be a belter of an evening. It’s great to be joined by fellow Irvine boys The Outlawed and The Saints so we’re confident we’ll blow the roof off the Magnum.
The Outlawed have made a name for themselves playing loud. They have been rocking Ayrshire and Glasgow for the past two years with their mix of blues and rock. We’ve always been big supporters so it’s great to finally share a stage with them.
We’re big fans of Saints too, the Irvine boys recently released their debut E.P. “Dead & Gone” to much acclaim and will definitely get the crowd going, so it will be great to get on stage with them too.
Once again, Freckfest is hosting the event. It’s the organisation established in the name of Irvine legend Willie Freckleton. It has taken on the responsibility of showcasing local talent and we’ve been with them from the very start and delighted to be included amongst some great emerging talent.
The Magnum show has been anticipated for a very long time and it’s going to be a big, loud, fun night – we hope you’re there to enjoy it too.
